Winner: Spectral Duke Paladins lol
Would've been surprised to see this deck in Top 8, never mind winning.

Runner-up: Spike Brothers
To be expected since not a lot of people know how to handle them.

3rd: Angel Feathers
Surprise appearance.

4th: Tsukuyomi Oracle Think Tank
It was probably a popular deck but since it requires a really good pilot then it's only natural that very few would get high in the rankings.

To be honest I'm quite disappointed. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but seeing two Gold Paladin decks take the first two qualifiers is extremely boring, simply because they top due to sheer numbers, and then they get more hype since they're "winning".

I'm seriously hoping the Spike Brothers deck that got 2nd in Toronto was a legitimate build, and not the ridiculous builds that we've seen top, such as in GenCon or most recently, at the ACME tournament in Singapore. Seeing some of these messed up decklists is seriously making me question the skill level at these tournaments, especially when players that don't know what a High Speed, Brakki is top with Spike Brothers with 12 Grade 3's.

I'm also disappointed at the complete lack of other clans, namely Royal Paladin. WHERE ARE YOU BROS?! PALAMEDES IS A GOOD CARD, USE IT.

However this only makes me look forward even more to the Seattle qualifier where I will be competing. Good luck to all in future qualifiers!

    1. i agree, and i hope that any future tournaments have a better game system. i can live with double elimination. but it's just stupidity to do a best of 1, with such a luck based game.

  2. The reason for so many bad decks/builds topping is due to the lack of enough good players

  3. OMG A Spike Brothers deck that plays 4 Emperors, 4 Juggernauts, and has FOUR DAMN BRAKKIS!

    1. This the other lists I've seen, namely acme's, are terrible. I get that he wanted to put his eggs in a 4 field driller basket, but holy crap the rest of his deck was designed by a moron.
